PAPUANEWS.ID - The Governor of Port Moresby Papua New Guinea (PNG), Powes Parkop along with a group of PNG officials, received an invitation from the Governor of Papua province to attend the 71st Independence Day in Jayapura on August 17, 2016. The PNG came through the gate of the Cross-border RI-PNG in Skouw-Wutung on Tuesday (16/08/16).

Upon arrival at Nomensline (Zone / Free Area) gate of Cross-border RI-PNG, Port Moresby Governor along with other officials was immediately greeted by Head of BPKLN of Papua Province, Suzzana Wanggai where symbolically their arrival was done by giving flower necklace by Head of BPKLN.

Head of BPKLN Suzanna Wanggai explained that the visit of Governor of Port Moresby PNG to Papua is to attend the invitation from the Governor of Papua Province Lukas Enembe to attend the 71nd Anniversary of Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia to be held at Mandala Field, Jayapura, Wednesday (17 / 16) tomorrow.

"The arrival of Port Moresby PNG governor and entourage is to attend the 71st anniversary of the RI ceremony at Mandala Field, Jayapura," he said.

After a visit on the border, the Port Moresby governor's group left the border and headed straight for Jayapura with an escort of PJR Papua Police.

The names of Port Moresby's governor groups who attended the invitation from the Governor of Papua Province were the wife of Governor of Port Moresby PNG, Fazilah Bee Binti Ahmed Bazari, Karrol Nialin Cynthia, Hongyan, Tuvi Ellias Watang, Mark Sinder, Conrat Tilau, James Yaman. (Red.AK)
